Resilience Strategy Process In The City Of Mandalay

The purpose of the 100RC Programme for Mandalay City is to develop resilience goals and initiatives and the City's Resilience Strategy. The process will be undertaken through a step by step process, a.    Stakeholder engagement planb.    Formation of Resilience Steering Committee c.    List of validated shocks and stresses with risk assessment d.    Preliminary Resilience Assessment e.    Customized City Approach Customization will consider integrating and expanding any resilience practices already established in the city, and any stakeholders actively engaged in ongoing efforts contributing to the city's resilience. Based on the customization, intensive investigation to be carried out into focus areas. Focus areas  that are identified during the PRA, will be further developed to have more knowledge and \ analysis to shape its work in Phase II of the strategy process.Focus areas can correlate directly to specific resilience strengths and weaknesses, specific shocks and/or stresses, and/or cross-cutting issues.UN-Habitat with its partnership with MCDC and various National Ministries, will be a Startegy Partner to the programme in which it will offer technical and analytical assessment for development of the strategy
