The State of Pakistan's Cities Report (SPCR) is a knowledge product which presents a well-informed and action-oriented analysis of the state of urbanization across Pakistan with quantitative and qualitative city-based data. It takes a broader view that incorporates the economic alongside social, demographic, political and cultural aspects. The proposed action seeks to understand population trends, levels of access to land, housing and basic services including health and education, urban planning and governance, with considered attention to cross-cutting issues (gender, youth, environment, and displaced population). It will focus on a city's capacity and competitiveness on human development, private investment, decent work and employment opportunities and the improvement of Pakistan's ranking in the human development index.
