Implementation Of The International Guidelines On Urban And Territorial Planning

The overall Objective of the Project is to:

      Provide evidence of health and environment benefits to city residents through improved quality of the urban and territorial planning Evidenced-based urban and territorial Planning for better health and environment outcomes of cities is available

The Project will achieve this Objective through the following Expected Accomplishments (EAs):

 

  • EA1: Collective international knowledge enhanced and two new tools developed to support and monitor the implementation of the International Guidelines on Urban and Territorial Planning     
  • EA2: Policy dialogue activated and capacities strengthened in two countries for implementation of the International Guidelines on Urban and Territorial Planning

 

Based on current active engagements, there are potential entry points for work on urban health and environment (e.g.) air quality in one of the following cities: Greater Monrovia (Liberia), Polotsk / Novopolotsk  (Belarus) where UN-Habitat and partners have ongoing initiatives.
