Clean Energy Sytems In Urban Areas, To Reduce Indoor Air Pollution From Kerosene Lamps And Inefficient, Polluting (Norway Pca 2016)

The overall purpose of this Project is to achieve the UN-Habitat Sub-Programme 4 (Urban Basic Services) objective to: “To increase equitable access to urban basic services and improve the standard of living of the urban poor”. The objectives contributing to this purpose are:

·         to assist selected municipalities in developing by-laws or energy policies ;

·         to promote adoption of improved cook stoves and clean lighting systems;

to initiate climate resilience and mitigation interventions in urban areas through awareness creation among local governments and general public and education material for technical schools and colleges
