Strengthening Urban Climate Resilience In Northern Mozambique Through Participatory Approach

The main purpose of this project is to build capacity in cities in northern Mozambique by providing hands-on, on the job learning and training in the actual workplaces and work situations of the municipal officers, training of trainers (ToT) in order for Municipal staff to carry out further capacity development activities in their place of origin. The final outcome is a practical action planning tool (CityRAP Tool) that is able to help even with fundraising efforts.The main beneficiaries are the selected municipalities and their staff that will be the participants of the training and leaders of the CityRAP Process. They will have their knowledge in risk reduction improved and will be agents of transformation in their municipalities.As partners, this project have: the municipalities that will be the main actors of the process; PRODEM as donor and supporterç and UN-Habitat as main implementing partner.
