Planning For Improved Air Quality In Urban Areas

PurposeThe overall Objective of the Project is to:

• Improved urban air quality in cities in developing countries, with resulting benefits (in terms of health, productivity, etc.) to residents.

The Project will achieve this Objective through the following Expected Accomplishments (EAs):

•  EA1: The capacity of local officials and consultants in cities in developing countries to plan for improved urban air quality is built
• EA2: An Air Quality Management Plan, developed via a participatory process, is approved and begun to be implemented in pilot city
