Urban Resilience City Programmes - Yakutsk, Russian Federation

The primary purpose of the project is to respond to the Mayor's request to provide support to his objectives to make the city more resilient to the hazards, threats and risk they will encounter over the coming decades. The CRPP's diagnostic model measures the resilience of the urban system, and provides a validated baseline upon which new planning, development and governance transformations can be made.  These urban processes require the integration of the principles of the New Urban Agenda enhanced by measures derived through the CRPP programme that protect sustainable development gains achieved through the resilience action plans that are implemented by the city. The programme promotes and facilitates the engagement of the local government with their key stakeholders in both policy and practice contexts; and engages city partners in a range of knowledge dissemination and learning networks including global events, regional or national events, and city-to-city learning.
