State Of The Region's Cities Reports Series (Africa Report - Dfid)

The State of the African Cities 2016 report's main purpose is to identify and analyse the roles of international financial flows, especially foreign direct investments (FDI), can play in stimulating and diversifying Africa's urban economies in order to provide guidance on how African nations and their cities of all sizes can move onto more sustainable urban development paths.

More generally, the project's purpose is to enhance the knowledge of sustainable urbanization by Africa's urban decision makers at all levels, academia and civil society and to improve regional, national and local level data generation for better informed decision making.
