Development And Implementation Of Retrofitting Guiding Tools For Hazard Resistant Learning Spaces In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Kp)

The purpose of the project is to reduce vulnerability and promote resilience of rural and urban populations living in areas most affected by natural and human induced disasters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, by increasing the preparedness and response capacities of local communities and authorities to potential and frequent threats.

The specific objective is to strengthen the capacity of government institutions, vulnerable communities and schools in KPK for addressing disaster risk in an institutionalized and sustainable manner through consolidation of inclusive CBDRM and SBDRM methodologies

The project will contribute to demonstrate integrated risk reduction model for creating resilient infrastructure through the window of safe schools and create a learning space for policy makers and  professional at sub national level on building resilient communities and cities.
