Implementing Habitat Country Programme In Mozambique

The purpose of bringing this Habitat Country Programme to the Programme Advisory Group (PAG) is to create buy in and support from all branches to the implementation of the Country programme for Mozambique and to get an approval to directly receive funds below an amount of 250,000 USD without consulting again the PAG as a whole, but solely with those branches that are relevant to the programme/project. As mentioned, in a couple of fields, such as housing and national urban policy development, small funds often are the first but critical step to show what UN-Habitat can do and that can lead to larger sums of funding. Once a first step is done and a programme/project can be scaled up (and receive additional funds above 250,000 USD) the programme/project will be brought back to PAG as a stand alone programme/project.
