Enhancing Urban Resilience To Climate Change Impacts And Natural Disasters: Honiara, Solomon Islands

The project objective is to “enhance the resilience of Honiara and its inhabitants to current and future climate impacts and natural disasters, with a particular focus on pro-poor adaptation actions that involve and benefit the most vulnerable communities in the city.” To do so, the project integrates a broad range of stakeholders into the process by carrying out actions at the community, ward, and city-wide level, strengthening the capacities of local communities, councils and institutions to meeting the challenges posed by climate change.
