Improved Resilience Of Coastal Communities In Ghana And Cote D' Ivoire - S1-32Fod-000136

The proposed project components, outcomes and outputs fully align with national and local government priorities and gaps identified, with identified community and vulnerable groups needs and with the Adaptation Fund outcomes as stated in the Adaptation Fund results framework. This alignment has resulted in the design of a comprehensive approach in which the different components strengthen each other and in which outputs and activities are expected to fill identified gaps of Cote d’Ivoire’s, Ghana’s and West Africa’s current climate change response. The project aims at maximizing the funding amount for the concrete adaptation component (component 3 and 4) directly benefiting local communities and the two countries. Funding allocation to the other (softer) components is required to support the effective execution and sustainability of components 3 and 4 and to share knowledge and lessons learned. The table below provides a justification for funding requested, focusing on the full cost of adaptation reasoning, by showing the impact of AF funding compared to no funding (baseline) related to expected project outcomes.
